Discipline: The Secret to Achieving Your Dreams

Discipline is like a superpower, a superpower that can be cultivated. In the world, only a few people do the majority of the really important things. These people aren't always born with lots of money or advantages. Instead, they work really, really hard and they don't give up. They have something called discipline.

Discipline means making choices that will help you reach your goals, even when they are hard or not fun. Some people want things to be easy. They don't like hard work. But to be the best you can be, you have to learn to keep going even when it's tough. If you want to get good at something, you need to think about it a lot. Use your dreams to plan and formulate goals (dreams with action plans). A plan is like a map that shows you how to get to where you want to go. Once you have a plan, you have to work on it every day, taking one step forward everyday (habits).

Creating good habits is important. Habits are things we do all the time, like waking up early or going to bed at the same time. If we make good habits about working towards our goals, we'll get there even faster. Sometimes we might not feel like doing something, but that's when we need to be strong and do it anyway. Tony Robbins, a legendary life coach and businessman, says that our mind and our soul are different. Our soul is the part of us that wants to do great things. When we tell our soul to work hard and not listen to the lazy part of our mind, we can do amazing things!

Now, let's get started. First, learn what you need to do to be successful. Second, know that you are the one who can make your life better. Don't make excuses. Don't say you can't wake up early or finish work. If you really want to, you'll find a way to make it happen. It's the little things we do every day that make a big difference.

ACT EVERYDAY

Every day is like a game where you play against yourself. It's you from yesterday against you today, and you today against you tomorrow. To reach the best version of yourself, you need to turn sad thoughts into winning moments. This isn't just about feeling excited; it's about doing what you plan to do. Discipline starts with your mind and your choices. When you focus on good things, you put your energy there. Where you put your energy, that's what you'll do a lot. And if you do something a lot, it becomes a part of you. That's how you build discipline. Your feelings don't matter as much because your goals and your good habits are much stronger.

FROM A CUB TO A LION

When a lion cub is born, it's just a little baby. How does it grow up to be the king of the jungle? It learns to hunt. It faces tough times. That's how it grows strong. You're just like that cub. Your life, your past, and what you focus on make you who you are. If you haven't had tough times, you're still a cub. But if you work hard and face challenges, you can grow up to be strong like a lion. Discipline helps you grow and become strong.

IT'S A LONG-TERM GAME

Think about the future, not just today. Stay away from things that make you happy for a short time but don't help you grow. Choose to do things that are hard. When people say you're crazy for working so much, you know you're on the right path. Keep working hard. The time to do it is now. Compete with yourself, not others. Stay strong because the other choice is not living your best life. Discipline is life, and it's the secret to making your dreams come true.

Remember, discipline isn't just about doing homework, chores, tasks or any other labor. Discipline is about taking the necessary steps to turn your dreams into reality. It's about being better than who you were yesterday. It’s about knowing that you can do anything if you work hard and never give up. Discipline is a lifestyle, one that requires focus and work but if attained, the world is your oyster.
